Now, I don't really know if I should've started out like that. What I do know is that you're well aware of the 'Lethal Tongue.' Yet, are those recordings genuine as they seem to be?
Insiders have reveled to TMZ that Mel Gibson's lawyers claim to have solid evidence which supports a fact that Oksana Grigorieva's secret recordings have been edited, and tampered with. If proven true, this would nullify the said tapes in court.
Due to said developments, the L.A. County will have to have the tapes subjected to authentication which could take time, but is mandatory before sending the case to the D.A.'s Office.
Reports say that the 'Braveheart' star's lawyers will be presenting the evidence to the Sheriff's Department, in which the evidence comprises of the tapes having been altered. TMZ disclose that Mel's legal people will present "concrete forensic evidence" of tampering with the tapes, which includes editing.
However, Oksana's lawyers counter such claims in a statement to TMZ, saying, "We are not aware of any presentation Gibson's lawyers are making, but we are not surprised they would make such unfounded claims."
According to TMZ, while Oksana's lawyers will be present in court this morning, to possibly have the judge strip Mel of child custody of their daughter utilizing the tapes as evidence, the opposition will also be challenging the authenticity of the tapes.
Now, things are getting to be pre-tty interesting. Don't be smiling yet, Mel!
