It's an age-old migraine issue. The ultimate showdown that the boxing world aches to see. Well people, you can ache some more!


Thanks to Floyd Mayweather Jr, a multimillion dollar match-up with Manny 'Pacman' Pacquiao has gone down the drain. Imagine that, multimillion smackeroos! Not exactly peanuts, 'Pretty Boy!'

Yup. During yesterday's Top Rank Live Telephone Conference with the media which was played live stream at the Top Rank website, the globe was tuned in awaiting the good news but received a massive KO when word surfaced that Mayweather didn't even bother to contact Top Rank Promotion expressing his disinterest in the match. Two things, Floydy. It's either all that air has gone up to your head, or you're just, what do you call that thing in old McDonald's farm?


Big bossman promoter Bob Arum expressed his dismay in an announcement, saying that despite combined efforts of both Top Rank and Golden Boy Promotion to breathe life into the superbout, Mayweather still can't bring himself to commit on the fight at the contract period's expiration.


The world wants it. So does Bob Arum real bad, to the extent of the boss passing up other negotiations with other fighters just for this to push through. Surprisingly, Mayweather also happened to show interest previously but with the way things have transpired, world's number two needs to have his head examined. Oh, that includes his sweet old daddy as well!


Well, all's not lost for the hard-hitting 'Pacman.' Besides being preoccupied with noble responsibilities as Congressman, he's still got good fights lined up for those knuckles. Potential cadidates are Margarito or a Cotto rematch.


Still, Bob Arum's given an extension to Floydy, and will continue to communicate with the boxer's camp. That means allowing 10 more days for 'Pretty Boy' to gather up enough balls to give the green light.


Floydy, buddy, you will go down in history as the dude who chickened out on the Pacman. Your grandchildren will sure be proud!
