More mutants to hit the big screen!
Kevin Bacon has been handpicked to join Matthew Vaughn's league of super mutants in 'X-Men: First Class,' according to Deadline Hollywood.
No hype. And although lips are quite sealed as to the nature of the actor's role, sources say he will take on a villain's character, who collides with both Charles Xavier (played by James McAvoy) and Magneto (by Michael Fassbender). May I suggest Apocalypse? Great villain.
Hollywood Reporter also reveals that besides Bacon, newcomer Jennifer Lawrence, critically acclaimed for her role in the Sundance hit, 'Winter's Bone,' will also be joining the Marvel cast. The 19-year-old has been tasked with morphing into Mystique, which was popularly portrayed by Rebecca Romijn, previously in the X-Men trilogy.
Filming on the popular mutant flick will commence this summer in London.
I hope they include Wolverine again. Only this time, skip Hugh Jackman, I beg you! He's been used up and those claws are getting rusty.
