Later on, Angel turned down the offer saying that she can't dance. So, GMA Network decided to conduct an open audition for the role of Thalia's best known character. To our surprise, a Youtube video was posted last March 13, 2008 that showed some of the actresses who auditioned for the Marimar role, some of them are Katrina Halili, Karylle, Valerie Concepcion, Camille Pratts, Jewel Mische, Rhian Ramos, LJ Reyes, and of course, Marian Rivera. After Rivera got the role... well, no need to elaborate.
