"There's been this argument about Coldplay stealing this melody from Joe Satriani, but, if you listen to it, it's mine!" says Stevens. "Its the Foreigner Suite!" he added.
People.com's report said that this is the third time that Coldplay is accused of plagiarism. Guitarist Satriani initiated legal action against Coldplay after claiming the group pilfered chords from his 2004 song "If I Could Fly.", and last June, the New York act Creaky Boards alleged the song was close to their tune "The Songs I Didn't Write." Poor Coldplay, that's the nega of hitting the stardom - period.
