New York City - Kiefer Sutherland is now facing some "serious" charges after allegedly head-butting a designer named Jack McCollough last Tuesday at Met Costume Institute Gala afterparty in Manhattan, New York.
According to Entertainment Online , Kiefer was charged with one count of misdemeanor assault and will have to come back to NYC in about a month to face a judge. If he's found guilty, Kief could get up to a year behind bars and a $1,000 fine. "We would have to decide whether or not file a probation violation and then he could potentially face the remainder of the time left on the count to which he entered his original plea," says LA City Attorney office spokesman Frank Mateljan in his E! News interview.
Today, Kiefer visited Manhattan precinct to answer some questions from the police. Together with his lawyers, Kiefer was released on his own recognizance.
