Al Pacino, globally acclaimed for his superb performance in 'The Godfather', will have to make do without his Bronx flavored attitude and accent, which viewers are mostly accustomed to.

Pacino dissolves in his character, portraying Jack Kevorkian, known as Dr. Death in HBO'S 'You don't know Jack,' airing Saturday at 9 pm. In his unique role, the actor is restrained, shuffling and sports that Michigan accent.

And even though Pacino has had no personal encounter with the real Pathologist from Michigan prior to filming, he commited vigorous hours of character study on the doctor's footage and even communicated with him over the phone. A dialect coach offered his assistance to Pacino, nailing Kevorkian's accent.

Tagged as the consummate Method actor, there are humorous instances wherein Pacino had forgotten to come out of character. In the 1973 'Serpico' where the actor plays a New York cop, he was a passenger in a taxi and yelled at a truck driver to pull over for polluting.

In another movie where Pacino plays a lawyer, fiends were discussing a contract and the actor unintentionally stuck his nose in and said, 'Let me see that.'

Pacino's legendary, he's the man for all seasons.
