Charlie Sheen and wife Brooke Mueller are trying to work thing out, by living apart?

According to Sheen's rep who told People.com, the 'Two and a half men' star, 44, and Mueller, 32, are currently trying to resolve matters, but not under one roof. The rep also added that there are no intentions on both parties to end their marriage.

Besides, Mueller needs a breather from Sheen, sources told People.com. And what a way to cool down after a not so pleasant experience from her hubby, who allegedly stuck a knife to her throat after a feud on Christmas Day, at their Colorado home last year. Sheen was arrested after the incident and awaits trial which commences this July.

Both Sheen and Mueller are in rehab ever since, in which the wife completed a 90-day program. Hubby, by the way, recently made headlines when reports say that he disguised himself as he left an apartment of an alleged mistress to which the actor's rep told Access Hollywood that it was only a friend he was visiting.

The coupld have been married for almost 2 years in which twin sons were born last March.

Everybody does need space to avoid killing each other. Agree?
