Simon Cowell, popular British TV personality and music producer with an attitude, continues to pile up the fortune.

Cowell, well known as an extremely harsh but honest judge on TV talent shows such as 'American Idol' and 'The X-Factor,' has doubled his personal earning worth, raking in 45 million pounds ($69 million) in the past year, according to The Sunday Times annual rich list.

Cowell's income from his contributions to television alone, (and I do mean exclusive from his other income generating schemes) exceeded half of his 165 million pound earnings over the past two years, as reflected in the Sunday Times.

The rich list highlights Britain's 1,000 rich people including families, and is primarily based on on specific wealth factors such as, land and property, and ownership of shares in notable companies. This doesn't involve wealth held in bank accounts. The list requires that the candidate be born in Britain or has a major share of their wealth in Britain.
