Lindsay Lohan's all smiles now that she won't be getting the boot in a new role that suits her to a 'T'.

After being told to pack her bags from her movie, 'The Other Side,' because of not being 'bankable,' the troubled starlet gets a fighting chance as a porn star in the movie entitled 'Inferno.'

This after being saddled with other unfortunate events and eyebrow raising controversies.

Her public dispute with daddy Michael, the racy photos of her with a gun to the head and covered with blood, a thumbs down from some movie, and then speculations of landing in the slammer. Lohan needs a break from her consistent streak of bad news.

So according to phtogapher pal Tyler Shields who spoke to E Online, and is responsible for releasing the actress's racy photos, Lindsay is confirmed for the part of porn star Linda Lovelace in the upcoming indie drama, 'Inferno' by Matthew Wilder.

Linda Lovelace is popularly known as the porn actress who starred in 1972's hard core porn film 'Deep Throat,' which is considered the most successful porn flick ever created, making good money for a porn film. Later on, she decided to vacate the porn industry, insisting she had been forced into it by her abusive husband. Eventually Lovelace would become an antipornography activist for quite a while.

In 2002, the porn senssation had passed away, having succumbed to injuries she sustained in a car accident.
